Drama Club

sstSalina South’s Drama Club is open to any student interested in theatre. Membership is not limited to those who appear on stage. There are many crews that students can be involved in that are important to all play productions – set, lights/sound, props, costumes, publicity, make-up, and house management. Annual Drama Club membership fees are $5.00. Students involved need a true interest in theatre.  Meetings are usually after school on the first Tuesday of every month – check the callboard for additional meeting times.

Aside from contributing to production, Drama Club activities include Fund-Raising projects, Halloween and Christmas Parties, Community Service Projects, fund-raisers, monthly activities, and the End-of-the-Year Awards Recognition Night.

Students can also letter in Drama.  Drama Club members are eligible to letter after earning 10 or more Thespian points for contribution to South High productions or Drama Club activities.  Students who earn at least 10 points are also eligible to become a member of the International Thespian Society.  This membership allows students to participate in special activities such as selected field trips, participation at our State Thespian Conference or the International Thespian Conference, and even the New York trip (every two years).

Students interested in joining Drama Club should contact Ms Lindsay or one of the Drama Club Officers for more information.
